Job Opportunity: Executive Director
The Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley (HSBV) is a community-based charity with a mission to foster a Bow Valley community where everyone has access to safe, warm shelter and programs that support their needs. HSBV provides a low barrier shelter and programs with the goal to build trust and facilitate individuals' access to the local system of care. We are seeking an Executive Director to join our team and help lead the organization’s continued growth and local impact.
The Executive Director is responsible for the successful leadership and overall management of the organization in accordance with the strategic direction, and policies set by the Board of Directors. This position reports to the Board of Directors and will oversee and participate in program operations, public relations, and financial management. To learn more, click the image on the left.

Job Opportunity: Shelter Support Worker
HSBV is seeking community-minded professionals to join our Emergency Winter Shelter program, offering individuals a safe place to rest during the coldest months of the year.
Building a professional, positive rapport with Shelter Guests, community partners, and other HSBV team members through empathy and care is an essential part of the Shelter Support Worker role.

Volunteer Opportunity: Board of Directors
Are you looking for a unique leadership opportunity? Have you been seeking opportunities to use your skills and passion to support those in need within our community? Join HSBV’s Board of Directors!
As a Director, your role will be to uphold high standards of fiduciary responsibility, loyalty, and duty of care while helping guide HSBV’s mission, strategic objectives, financial oversight, and leadership. Duties include setting the mission, managing Board operations, ensuring legal and fiscal compliance, and maintaining confidentiality.
