“In 2024/2025, HSBV reached several significant milestones, including becoming a registered charitable organization and launching our first-ever three-year Strategic Plan to guide our future direction, priorities, and goals.
This past winter marked the longest shelter season to date - 151 nights - with unparalleled need. We supported more unique individuals than ever before and reached or exceeded capacity on 68% of shelter nights.”
2024/2025 Annual Report
“2023/2024 served as a year of unprecedented program use. Each of the 112 nights of the Emergency Winter Shelter operating season were occupied, with a total of 40 unique individuals accessing the space. Across the operating period, there was an average of 5.9 guests per night within the Emergency Winter Shelter. Out of 112 operating nights, HSBV’s Emergency Winter Shelter was at or above the capacity of 8 beds a total of 19 nights.”
2023/2024 Annual Report
“During the 108 nights the emergency winter shelter was open, 30 individuals accessed the space for an average of 2.3 guests per night and a total of 263 bed nights.”
