The Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley offers two programs: an Outreach program (available year-round) and an Emergency Winter Shelter (seasonally operated) to provide support to individuals who are unhoused and/or housing insecure within the Bow Valley.
Thanks to the generosity of our funders, donors and community supporters, the Emergency Winter Shelter will open November 1st, 2024 - 40 days earlier than ever before!

The Emergency Winter Shelter will operate for the fifth consecutive year!

Check In: 9:30 PM to 11:30 PM
Check Out: 9:00 AM
Location: Scout Hall, Canmore, AB
First-come-first serve, maximum capacity of 8 beds

CNOY 2024 Fundraiser
We had such a fantastic turnout at this year’s Coldest Night of the Year fundraiser on February 24th, 2024 with 161 walkers, 23 teams and 40 volunteers! We are sincerely grateful to have surpassed our fundraising goal, reaching 125% of our goal, all thanks to the generosity and support from our event sponsors, walkers and donors.
